First off, I would like to tell everyone that I was once a strong believer of lady luck - a casino gambler who believes that luck is all I needed to get me ahead in games. How wrong I was. In all the times that I gambled, I waited for lady luck to embrace me with all her glory, so I would finally be able to recoup all my previous losses and become the envy of my friends. In fact, most of my waking hours were spent collecting objects and doing weird things just so I would become attractive to lady luck. And guess what? Lady luck didn't happen. Or if she did, they were not enough to offset the losses I suffered during the times I spent waiting for her. Sure, there were times that I did well at the casinos, (and call it luck if you want), and it happened many times, but the times when the casinos were luckier far outnumbered them all.

And so I decided to fathom the mystery of lady luck. My search to understand what stuff lady luck is made of triggered me to do an experiment that would eventually change the way I would gamble. For twenty years I manually dealt cards at home, spinned roulette wheel, shoot dice... just to find out how lady luck behaves (if there is really lady luck) and whether or not I could trick her to stay always in my side.

Those efforts didn't go in vain. I wouldn't be the kind of gambler that I am today had I allowed myself to go on with my uninformed ways at the casinos. It was not that I found lady luck, but it was that I understand lady luck better. I was lucky I had come to understand gambling realities earlier, or I might have reached a point where the damages done to my person became irreversible.

I don't want to sound discouraging in this article, but you need to understand casino gambling on its entirety before you can expect victory over it. But for now, let us come to terms with what I have to tell you: Don't wait to be lucky anymore because you are just wasting your time. Trust me on this. I would rather that you learn the mathematics and the correct playing strategies of the games. You don't need lady luck to win at casinos in the long run you need to be a smart gambler.
