Most of us would say that we put thought and consideration into our appearance and that we take time picking out our outfits and ensuring that they go well together and that they will look appropriate for the current fashion and the event we're heading too. Of course this is even more true of ladies who arguably have greater interest in such matters. However while it is indeed important to spend time picking out the best top and best trousers or skirt, it is equally important to take time picking the shoes and this is something that is often overlooked and thought to be less important. The reason for this is that shoes are worn on our feet at the bottom of trousers or under dresses where they are rarely seen, and it might seem as though there isn't much of a fashion involved in shoe buying as they all look relatively much of a much-ness.
However it is actually highly important to spend a lot of time choosing shoes and these are one of the things that finish off an outfit and ensure that you look like you know what you're doing and have real style - rather than being just a wannabe. It is also true that a good pair of shoes can greatly boost a ladies physique making you taller, making your legs more slender and your buttocks firmer. It even changes the way that you walk and gives you a more confident and sexy stride that will draw attention to you. At the same time there is a lot of variation in shoes and more than you might imagine and it is a great area for fashion.
Currently fashionable for instance are ugg boots which are very furry boots that are also quite large. These look a little like you have a bear's foot (a colorful bear from Sesame Street) and are very comfortable and warm to wear. At the same time though, the fact that they are large and fluffy means that they can help make the rest of your legs look highly slim and slender, so they're great for contrasting with skinny jeans or with tights.
Of course these won't be suitable for all occasions, and are mainly suited to the colder weather. For another piece of day wear, wedges' are also highly fashionable and these are high heels that use wedges instead of the traditional point to make them more comfortable to give the same lift and leg extension with a lot less agro. These have even found their way into wellingtons now, with many festival goers using this wedge technique to wear water proof shoes and still create a sexy look - even festivals and camping isn't a refuge from fashion.
During the evening other types of shoes are more suitable (though you can still wear wedges if you want to dance for longer without tiring). For instance plimsolls are very popular in blacks and silver and these are more comfortable than heels but don't offer some of the cushioning you would normally get. For heels meanwhile it is currently quite fashionable to have heels a different color from the shoe itself - such as silver heels with black shoes. Then of course there are the timeless classics such as a pair of black open-toed heels with some nicely painted nails which will look great whatever the fashion.
