This will prevent the china from bumping the sink and cracking. If you are wearing jewelry, remove it so you don't run the risk of scratching the china.4) As far as soaps go, a mild detergent like Ivory or Dove should suffice. When filling the sink with detergent and warm (not hot) water, add 2 tbsp. of vinegar. If you don't want to use vinegar, hydrogen peroxide also works well.5) You should wash one item at a time with a soft, non-abrasive sponge or soft dish cloth. Don't use excess pressure when cleaning the delicate plates. If there are persistent stains, you should sprinkle on a little baking soda with a few drops of detergent.6) Rinse each dish with the same temperature of water (warm). An extreme change in water temperature so suddenly can cause the china to crack or split. Don't stack dishes on top of one another while they're drying. If you have a dish rack, be sure to place them in the rack with enough space in between them. The safest way to dry them, if you can't do each piece individually by hand, is to lay them out on a soft towel to air dry.
