Is Wedding Season Here Again? Should You Put On A Beautiful Wedding With Short Notice?

With May through October being prime wedding months for most wedding planners

, it follows that trying to host a wedding during those months may sound like a recipe for disaster. But, nevertheless, you may be faced with needing to create a beautiful event with wedding season here again. Once you find that is the case, here are a few tips to help calm the frayed nerves.

Find your event space right away. You may be facing limited choices, with all local churches and halls already booked. Look for alternate venues with beautiful spaces. Prime candidates are museums, arboretums, or botanical gardens. These are great potential venues with lots of charm.

Decide right away your guest list. Plan for their food, entertainment, and drinks. Keeping your guest count low will help you fit into the unexpected lovely space.

If you are lucky enough to live in a college town, you may find that the college has a few rental spaces available. Often, the architecture of a college auditorium may be stunning, or there may be a historic garden or building located on the campus that is rented out, too. The photo opportunities are endless when this is the case.

Consider going casual for your guests, yet formal for yourself. Hold the event at a local beach or lake. Marry when the sun hits the water, and have a great party with catering afterward. If you enjoy fun, your guests probably will too.

Hire the best professional musicians you can afford. Ditch the DJ and focus on live musicians for an elegant, classic atmosphere. Let a live band with acoustic instruments play for your dance. Ask a string quartet or brass quintet to provide music for the wedding, and ask a harp or guitar to cover the reception.

Ask your maid of honor and best man to keep you organized, if need be. Let them keep track of the details. Remember that cake and punch is a lovely afternoon alternative to a full dinner if you do not have time or funds to pull it off. Your guests will love you anyway.

If you can afford to hire a wedding consultant, do so. These people earn their money because they know what they are doing. They can work with any budget to make things wonderful, should you have lost your sanity. Better to hire someone than to have a complete meltdown. Wedding season here again means opportunities to do something different and wonderful, all at the same time.
