What's the most common question a nutritionist like me encounters every day? I guess you people already know but if you still don't have any idea, it is answering, "What is the Best Diet to follow?" With this question, I always have a shocking answer. You will get the very same answer too if you'll ask me now and that's "the best diet to follow is to follow NO diet at all."I know this might sound bizarre especially coming from a nutritionist like me but yes, that's what I'm promoting these days.

Believe it or not, I'd like people to realize that diets do not work because as a matter of fact, diets are one of the most common reasons why people are having difficulty losing weight. It is unreasonable that people have to follow a diet plan and compromise the delicious way of eating. We have to satisfy our cravings and have to follow a delicious way of eating that will really satisfy our hunger, our taste buds and help us reach and maintain an optimum weight and optimum health.

Well, I know people will be doubtful about this especially that false advertising is rampant these days. But you have to believe that it is possible and very much doable as long as you have all the right information in place. Let us be armed always with the correct information and you can never go wrong with it.

So, what's the Best Diet for me? It's something that you can stick to for a week or even more. It should not deprive you from eating the food that makes you happy. Eating healthy delicious food that'll satisfy one's craving is what I'd like to encourage and here are few tips that will be very helpful in making your own Best Diet:

1. Eat healthy food that you enjoy.

I know it's hard to give up those pizza and pasta we love to eat and yes, I'm telling you that those aren't the food I'd like you to give up as well because I also didn't give up the pizza or burger that I love. It's just that there's always a healthy way of preparing these food. You can still have a mouth-watering pizza and a juicy hamburger but with an added twist, those must be made with healthy ingredients. I don't like to see you resort into a crash diet that limits you into eating only food like cottage cheese and grapefruit. No, I don't like that idea and never will do. You should eat those delicious foods you like with a different twist. Take for example scrambled whole eggs in butter with your favorite vegetables and 2 slices of sprouted grain toast or French toast made from healthy bread and eggs? Well, the list of delicious yet healthy options is long and you have to think out of the box to know what works for your weight loss program.

2. Believe that you can do it.

Again, there are things that cannot be done overnight and changing your habits are one of those. To achieve something especially losing weight, you have to be determined enough to do so. You have to establish your own healthy eating habit and try to eliminate one "not so good" every week. Just take things slowly by starting to give up the easiest one for you like drinking more water instead of sugar drinks or cut down on a few sodas and replace them with water. In 1- 2 months time, you will see some improvement and see how life changing the result would be. It will only take one small step each week and the transition will be smooth and easy not to mention simple as well.

3. Hunger is never an answer.

Starving yourself should never be your solution in losing weight quickly. This is one of the most common mistake people commit. Yes, maybe it will help you lose weight at some point but it is not healthy at all. You do not need to feel hunger to effectively lose weight and your body must have enough good nourishment in order to see a lasting weight loss results. By taking this in mind, you have to make sure daily meals should be taken with snacks in between.Foods to munch like raw nuts, fresh fruits and healthy trail mixes can really keep you away from experiencing any hunger throughout the day and help you in controlling any cravings that may come up.
