I Just Saw My Ex With Another Man How do I Make it Through This

I'm in so much pain right now I don't know which end is up. My girlfriend broke up with me a few months ago. I've been doing fine for a while but tonight I saw my ex with another man and I feel like she's just dumped me all over again. How do I make it through this type of pain? Am I going to feel like this every time I run into her again?
It's hard seeing the love of your life out with another man. There's no good way to handle the situation and all you want to do is escape run far and fast in the other direction. You don't want the uncomfortable confrontation or the awkward moment of silence as you size each other up and decide just how worthy the other is of her affections.
The problem is that you're not over her yet and feel, deep down inside, that she shouldn't be over you yet either. That's just the way it should be as far as you're concerned. She shouldn't be ready to move on after you lost something so meaningful together. But on the other hand, your heart is breaking a second time and you're not even sure you can make it through the handshake and the meaningless promises to stay in touch.

1) Train your thoughts on bigger and better things ahead of you. One that is sure to make you smile and walk out with your head held high is to think about meeting him again a few months down the road after you get your ex back and have her on your arm instead.
2) Breath deep. Breath slow. This is not the time to panic. When you are focusing your energy and your thoughts on breathing in and out there is little room for anything else to be running through your mind.
3) Just walk away and have the confrontation or the "grand reveal" with your ex girlfriend at some other place and time. There's no reason to subject yourself to something you know will be unpleasant if you don't have to. Don't take the high road. Sometimes it's best to just walk away.
