Keep your confidence Remain confident. Try to find ways that you can keep yourself occupied and happy. Get a new hobby, join a gym, join a club. Keeping occupied is the key. If you keep occupied then you can take your mind off the break up and focus on other things.
Remain socially active Surround yourself with well wishers, positive attitudes and good friends. Try and make some new friends. You might be able to make some new friends while you are occupying yourself doing new things. Maybe try and reconnect with some old friends you haven't seen in a while. Just try and surround yourself with lots of people who care for you.
Maintain a good appearance Don't let your appearance reflect your situation. You need to pay attention to every detail of your looks, including your clothes, your make up, your hair, your stride, your shoes and even your voice. It can be hard to act happy or to take care of yourself following a bad breakup. Make sure you are eating properly. This is a big one. Sometimes it feels really hard to eat after a break up, but you must eat properly so you can maintain your healthy and happy appearance. You may even want to get a new haircut. This can sometimes be something that can cheer you up and when you see your ex again he will see you in a different way.
Just make sure you take care of yourself. You are the most important person in your own life.
