How to cope with a high-risk pregnancy

My last pregnancy was classed as a high risk because I had two previous miscarriages. One

at 25 weeks and one at 13 weeks. It was a very rough time for the family and especially myself.I already had a daughter and a son which were four and seven years old that added extra stress to me right along with the thought of another possible miscarriage,I started spotting at six weeks with my newest daughter and all I thought was oh no here we go again.

I called the doctor and he put me on progesterone suppositories because maybe the reason why my pregnancies were failing was due to lack of progesterone.I had to go to Kingston for special ultrasounds and doctors appointments once a month. The way I got through it all was that I rented a doppler so I myself could hear my babies heartbeat just to reassure myself, my doctors were great and so was the hospital.I got to know two nurses that I could call if I had any questions or concerns about my pregnancy or my baby.It is very hard to cope with being high risk stuck on bed rest and can't do normal everyday things but look towards the future when it's all over and you are holding your little daughter or son in your arms for the first time and you will see that it was all worth it.I had my baby girl and she is now seventeen months old and I still think back to everything I had to do to bring her here but of course I would do it all over again. The doctors say if I choose to have another baby again I will be considered high risk still but I believe that it is worth every second of it.
