3. Before the conversation ends, get a number or make a date.

It's usually better to get the number or to make a date with a woman BEFORE the conversation ends, because again, it comes off less like a pick up. When the conversation is done and then you ask for the number, that's when you get that awkward moment and she is a lot more likely to brush you off.
