This won't happen if you're calling on him a bunch of times a day. Play it differently. Believe in me, I acknowledge this is really arduous for you to do, but if you don't crack the old bad habits, you can't anticipate different results.
Manipulate human nature, don't work in opposition to it and don't be the painless person who plays along to the tune dictated by your ex.
