How To Successfully Delegate Wedding Tasks

Wedding planning involves many months of work and an endless list of tasks that have to be completed.

Irrespective of the bride and her mother's competency at juggling the tasks, there are bound to be moments when an extra hand is required.

At such moments you're advised to be bold and confident enough to acknowledge your limitation, simply put, do not be afraid to ask friends and family members for help, such people will always be willing to help when requested if they'd been involved in the wedding planning from the beginning because they care about you and want to see have the best wedding ever.

Weddings usually have an array of tasks and responsibilities that can always be delegated to others while you maintain control of the overall plan. It's up to you to draft and assign tasks based on your belief in a person's ability to handle them. Once you have the list ready, the second step is to make phone calls. Be courteous and explain that you'll understand if the person turns down the request and explain that you'd rather a "no" up front than an uncompleted assignment later.

It's a good idea to give the assignee a date-of-completion and to check up every so often to make sure there are no glitches. Remember to be specific when handing out assignments and to make certain that the task and its details are understood. You know best what kind of a wedding you are having, so you are the best judge of what to include in your list. The list below can serve as a beginning point for you.
