How To Give A Proper Wedding Toast - Tips To Give A Perfect Reception Speech

Giving a good speech, whether at a wedding or elsewhere

, depends on one main thing - the amount of time you are prepared to spend on its preparation. This is not an occasion you can ad lib or come up with a few jokes to get you through. You would have had plenty of notice and everyone present would know this. Do Your Homework

Find about the person or the people you are toasting, particularly if you do not know them well. What are their interests? What is their background?
