Every once in awhile, memory flashes back that very first experience I had when I cracked the question to get a girl out
. Then, I start out smiling.
I was in fifth grade, had a god awful bowl-shaped hairstyle and was obsessed with Yu-Gi-Oh. This special girl is standing there - among the other girls and pupils who are eagerly waiting for their ride in the Ferris wheel. I looked at her and tried to regain my courage that is like evaporating into the air.
My heat beat may have been louder than my "hello" because my nervousness is ridiculously eating me. . A short moment of silence sipped in. It was short but it made me feel more uneasy but then I recollected myself and asked her in a very soft voice: "may we ride together?"
She got the message and reacted with a stare. It was simple enough to fully grasp that it sounded like "is that suppose to be a joke", although she never say it. Now, my self-confidence fully dissipated. I turned my back and did not even knew how my feet carried me as fast, out of the scene.
Asking a girl out was a thing more tough than learning elementary geography. That is how early I realized this concern.
It's safe to say that in my years of dating since that time, I can honestly tell you that asking a girl out is definitely quite simple and doesn't have to be this huge, scary event.
Here are a few tips I've learned over the years that will make asking a girl out so uncomplicated and powerful that you'll never have to ride the Ferris wheel by yourself again.
Guts
Like anything else in dating, successfully asking girls out requires high self-confidence.
It's not that they are threatened by your nervousness and lack of self-assurance, but not being confident in yourself does not turn on their attraction switches, so expect a polite no. Ladies wants to see in you that you have the courage to go after what you want, at whatever cost. It boosts their self-image to be wooed this way.
Thus, do not commence the move in asking a girl out if you are not prepared to demonstrate the figure of a confident guy.
Stare at her eyes like you are piercing to her soul when you speak with her.. If you do this the perfect way, that is without sounding too confident, you may notice that she might attempt to avoid your gaze - a sign that she is interested.Speak in a well modulated voice - this is vital. Confidence can be portrayed thru this. Not too loud that everyone around hears it; not too low that she cannot even hear it.
One primary rule - do not ask a question. The best way is to make your introduction using a statement where you describe that the event is worth to see or experience. Here are a few examples of what I mean:
Improper Way On How To Ask A Girl Out
You: "do you have plans already tonight?"
Her: " Really, I'm not certain. I might play computer games with my sister at home."
You: "Will you come to watch this concert with me?"
Her: "Wow! Much appreciated but maybe not now because.....
Correct Way to Ask a Girl Out
You: "I have tried this new bar that is newly opened, they do have a lot of perks. I really believe you'll find it cool. Try it out with me one Wednesday night."
Her: "Oh, I don't know, I have a lot of work I have to get done."
You: "You do not get it. I tell you, I've never had a really delicious mojitos like their's. The choices of music is certainly awesome! At the end of the night, you'll surely have fun."
Her: "Haha, well maybe I can free up some time"
Getting a "yes" is all about pointing out an option and present it in an interesting way. Admittedly, the reply lies on her choice, but one thing for sure - if you were able to convey your confidence, then you get a higher chance of getting g a positive reply.
Be Flirtatious
Also, be flirtatious and demonstrate your fun side when speaking with a girl about going out.
While you're talking with her, establish yourself as a playful person by teasing her and using light, humorous banter.
Role-playing is one more amazing tool you can employ. A great way to do this is to lead her into a fantasized vacation that you will be both concocting the details. You are actually appealing to her imaginative side if you do this. She will start envisioning fun moments with you and it will be likely that she will love to have another time sharing this moment with you.
A simple example is illustrated below:
You: "I really like Hawaii. The shores, the ocean, the outstanding climate that's it, we are quitting our work and heading to Maui."
Her: "Hey, that is fantastic. And then, we will forget about the finances?"
You: "No problem. We will do some selling - put up a souvenir shop near the beach. You will be the CEO and accountant because I am not good in math. Aside from that, it will use up my time gallivanting on the beach. "
Her: "We'll see about that mister"
You will expect a positive response if you will be asking her to go out with you having in mind that it could be really fun.
In Person vs. Over the Phone
It is still way better to ask her face to face rather than using the phone. Basically, you can best demonstrate your personality and you are in a better position to evaluate the non-verbal clues that she is emitting if you do it personally.
I am not saying that you should not and could not use the phone. Ring her.
What about text messages? It is something that you must try to avoid if you are aiming to get a girl out for the first time. Note that text messages are just text. Right with that fact, you know that you are devaluing your chances.
I'm not saying that texting can't be used to pick a girl up because once you learn to text effectively, it can be a gold mine. That's another article completely.
For guys starting out, stick to calling.
How Do You Ask a Girl Out - Time and Location
Arriving to the last piece of the puzzle, the where and when. Propriety of the timing and the place where you crack your intention is equally important.
If possible, try to steer clear of Friday and Saturday night because it makes it feel too much like a traditional date plus she might already be busy.
I personally love the Thursday date because it has the weekend feel, but without all the pressure usually associated with a weekend night.
As far as a specific time, late-afternoons to mid-evenings are great to schedule a date. Happy hour is perfect if you take her out for drinks. It's not only about cutting the cost but getting more fun because you will be having the best spot to savour the fun.
Try not to set the date for lunch unless you wish to be treated like a friend. Of course, you wish to transcend friendship and move further.
The location, like the time, should also be pressure free, but fun-filled as well. The target is to make it fun, a great break for a day's work and one that looks not like a traditional date.
Mastery of the factors discussed above will let you not ever wonder if you will get a "yes" when you wish to ask a girl out.
