To be frank, no, not all wedding photographers are the same as the next one you come across

. There are many different aspects that can put one high up on everybody's priority list of who they prefer to shoot their wedding with another photographer way down at the bottom of their "do not call" list. Since wedding photos will be a very important aspect of the occasion, and the most important thing for some couples, it would be wise to spend a little extra time when deciding on which photographer to hire. So with all professional photographers having qualities that make them different from one another, which things do you focus on to choose the right one for you?

Since you are dealing with photos, obviously, the very first thing you should look at when choosing a Houston wedding photographer is their previous body of work. You should be able to tell pretty quickly whether or not you like the photographer's style, since their style shouldn't change much, if at all, on your own wedding photos. If you think their style of shooting or framing shots is too quirky or doesn't resemble a traditional wedding photo (if that's what you are going for) then don't use that photographer. One photographer might take shots that are too zoomed in for your liking, whereas another one might not zoom in far enough. You should pay attention to all of these differences, no matter how minor they may seem.

Other qualities that make one Houston wedding photographer different from others that do the exact same job include their personality and attitude. Do you really want some gruff and seemingly unhappy photographer gathering people at your wedding to take pictures? Even if their shots look really nice, how are the photos going to look if everyone in them is only smiling through their teeth because the photographer has rubbed them the wrong way? This is why you need to meet with, or at least call, a photographer before hiring them. Get a feel for how much you enjoy them being around you and if you really want them at your wedding.
