People think that starting a home based business online or offline does not require a person to invest any money whatsoever
. This is not true at all. If a person is not willing to invest some money, they will not succeed. I am not saying that it can't be done cheaply, but what I am saying is that not investing any money and expecting to make money is impossible.Here is what the average person goes through who does not want to spend any money for anything and expecting to make money for free online with their own home based business:
Step 1. They get a free website designed for them for free.
Step 2. They get some free templates for their website.
Step 3. They sign up with a free auto-responder.
Step 4. They want to get some free traffic to their website so they advertise on free classified pages. They also post some free ads on forums. They don't want to spend any money at all. The list goes on and on and I think that you are getting the picture.
So basically not one penny was spent. Guess what my friends? They will not make any money what so ever and when they don't, they will quit and tell everyone that it is impossible to make money online.

1. You must register your own domain name. A good place to do that is called GoDaddy.com. What ever niche you want to focus on, make sure that you register a domain name that has the niche title in it. Here is an example:

2. Not every person who will visit your website will want to spend money as soon as they come in. Having a opt in email form and a PAID auto-responder will let you follow up with them as much as you want until they buy something from you or until they tell you to stop emailing them.
With FREE auto-responders, the company that owns that system, will include their links in your emails and this looks very un-professional. So get a free auto-responder and then upgrade to a PAID one. There are 2 companies that are excellent and they are called Aweber.com and Getresponse.com.
3. Forget about free advertising for now. In order to make money, you have got to spend money. I have been online and making a full time income for the past 2 years and can tell you from my experience that it does take money to make money.
Where does one start? Well, you advertise on all of the major Pay Per Click companies. You advertise on other people's high traffic websites. You can buy solo ads on other people's websites. So you need to pay for advertising in order to make money especially when you get started to get some momentum.
