1. To rely totally on your partner is not so good
Let's face it, the partner may want to do the same, besides he/she may think you are unable to make your own decisions or assume responsibilities. Your complete dependency on the partner will chase him/her away from you, because the partner may feel trapped. Do not become dependent on anything and anybody. Keep your ideas and assume responsibilities. Spend time alone and try to stop thinking that you need the partner by your side all the time.
2. The alleged inferiority
If a man has a girlfriend who earns more than him, his ego might be hurt and a break-up follows. Many women today have higher rank and not all of them have partners in this position. If you are such a woman, you don't have to give up your higher position just to please your partner. Help him understand that what you have is a relationship; you are equal partners, not rivals in a competition. Explain this to him and try to make him proud of you.
3. Expectations
If you have no expectations from your partner, you will end up separated or he/she will feel frustrated. You must aware of the limitations of your loved one, so you will know when to ask for more or less, otherwise you will have a break-up.
