To begin with, during your short respite from contacting your man you should be focusing on yourself. You need to make yourself as desirable as possible for when you see him for the first time after your brief no contact period. Get plenty of rest, eat good balanced meals and do some of the things that make you happy. You want him to be greeted by the well rested, good looking version of you that he fell in love with before. This will probably stand in stark contrast to the frantic, distraught version of you that he has been used to seeing or hearing from since the breakup and that is what were looking for.
As far as tactics that will prove most effective in getting your boyfriend or husband back, subtle and somewhat manipulative tactics tend to be the most powerful and the quickest way to change your mans perception of you and bring him to the conclusion that he made a mistake in breaking up with you in the first place. While you may balk at the thought of being manipulative or underhanded in getting your husband or boyfriend back the honest truth is that sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures.
While you might think that using trickery or even subtle forms of seduction or manipulation might be easy for your man to see and resist, the truth is that men really arent that clever and when done correctly a man is quite helpless to these forms of manipulation. If you are steadfast and non-wavering in executing your plan you husband or boyfriend wont even care if he suspects or even knows that you are being manipulative. He will simply react to the stimulus or the situation in a very predictable way and you will have him right where you want him. The choice is up to you though. You can sit and wait for him to come back and deal with the pain of seeing him with another woman or you can do something about it starting today.
