When you avoid the errors that the majority of folks trying to get back together make, you'll have a much better chance of accomplishing that. There are a few things you should try your best to avoid.
Don't Beg Your Ex
You will get absolutely nowhere with you ex by begging for another chance because you will only come off as being grovelling. Problems can arise when you are in a relationships with a needy person, so many people avoid such relationships. You will lose all self-respect when you beg someone to take you back. You not only lose your ex, but you also lose some respect that people have for you by begging, so don't.
Put Aside Your Pride
Getting back together with your ex can prove difficult of neither of you is willing to give in and swallow your pride. In order for things to work between you and your ex, one of you needs to take the higher road, and if need be, avoid letting your ego get the best of you. It is frustrating to deal with a person who insists on doing things his own way and refuses to compromise. Once one of you eats some humble pie, the other person usually follows.
When you exhibit jealousy you are only inviting more drama
A commonly talked about Hollywood technique and remedy for break ups is to make the ex jealous by showing that you are more than happy with a different girlfriend/boyfriend. Contrary to popular belief, doing this will not make your ex realize that you both should get back together, instead, this will only make your ex feel animosity towards you, or towards what you are doing. Your actions are intentions and more than likely your ex is going to figure out you are only trying to make him jealous by doing this intentionally. This basically spells the end of any hope for resuming your relationship.
Avoid Confrontation
If you are dreaming of getting back together with your ex then you should probably leave off fighting with each other. Break ups can be truly painful for both parties involved, so when you decide to talk about reconciling try to avoid arguing, especially in a situation when your mind is made up that you deserve an apology for past sins that may have lead to the break up in the first place. Playing the blame game is not why you are here but getting back together is. Remove the hostility from your tone to avoid any misunderstandings.
