Sailing in Greece can be experienced by families with children of all ages. There are many different Greek islands to visit and explore and all sailing holidays will provide you with expert guides and sailors to help you enjoy your experience. As you progress through your sailing experience, you will learn to sail larger boats. During family holidays or single holidays, you can pass your Royal Yachting Association qualifications. Whilst on holiday in Greece you can also have time out from learning to sail and hire mountain bikes and explore the local area.
Visiting the Alps
Whether you visit the Alps in the summer or winter, there are always many different activities for you to try. During the winter months you can ski, snowboard, ice skate and take traditional sleigh rides through the winter wonderland. However, the summer activities are less well known and these include white water rafting, abseiling, mountain climbing, hiking, kayaking and water skiing. The abundance of rivers and lakes make the Alps the ideal place for the whole family to learn to kayak, water ski or to go white water rafting with areas suitable for beginners and experts.
In conclusion, there are many different places around the world that can offer you fun and adventure, but picking the perfect holiday for your family will depend on the ages and abilities of your family members. If you have small children, a holiday where you do not expend too much physical energy may be better suited to your family's needs. However, for those with teenagers the more energetic and thrill seeking the holiday, the better the experience will be.
