The mirror is the most distressing item at home
. You avoid it, cover it, and use the smallest you can find or breaking it so you will not have to look any more. Then you definitely start all kinds of diets, you shed weight, you gain some weight back and finally, you're back where you've started, or even worst - a lot more.
You're fed up with battling with craving for food, you feel like a loser and you're now convinced that you will never win this battle.
I have to tell you, my friend, that I used to be just like you. I was exactly like accordion, that is exactly how I felt, thin and happy for a short while then back to square one, very frustrating process.
Then I've made-my-mind to stop this. I thought to myself - fight no more, this is not supposed to be a war. It's your life, live them for crying out loud. You could win a war or lose one but not as a daily thing for the rest of your life. You will eventually get exhausted sooner or later which will be exactly the time where you start losing.
This have totally shocked me, I felt like Sisyphus who was crushed to roll the big bolder up the hill and every time he made it uphill, it fell down and he needed to start over once again. Not me, not any more, leave that stone to other individuals and always stay at the top of the mountain.
This perception has led me to build a lifestyle which, on one hand, fits me and on the other hand, kept me in great shape. I have decided that during the five working days, I will maintain strict diet - no cookies in the office or fattening food for lunch. Then, to keep me on top of the hill, on the weekend, I allow my self a bit of the forbidden food I avoid the remainder of the week. I don't exaggerate but I eat whichever I feel like.
That's it!!! I've managed to remain on the top of the hill for 5 years right now. I am extremely pleased, I feel healthy and alive, I can play very much more with my kids and I truly do want people to move from being Sisyphus to easily be the real you again.
