Materials:
8 x 11 white or black card stock
Two different black and white decorative papers (with inverted colors)
Black satin ribbon
Glue stick or adhesive runner
Craft glue with a small brush for applying
White vellum (if using black card stock)

Method:
Start making this stylish black and white wedding invitation by adjusting the text size of the invitation according to the dimensions of the invitation card. A sheet of 8 x 11 can be equally divided into two 4 x 11 to make two invitation cards so the text size should not exceed 4 x 11.
You can directly print the text on the card so that it comes on the lower half of the card lengthwise. If you intend to use black card stock for the base, you can print the invitation text on white vellum and then paste it on the card. It is advisable to get help from a local copy shop for text printing and cutting.
After having the text printed on the card, fold it from top to bottom. Use a steel ruler to run along the crease to remove wrinkles.
It is now time to decorate the front of the invitation card. Cut the decorative paper for the top portion to measure 4 width x 1 length. With the help of a glue stick, paste this piece of paper to the top portion of the front. For the bottom section, cut the other black and white decorative paper to 4 width and 4 length. Paste this paper on the lower section of the front by using the glue stick.
Cut 5 -5 length of the black satin ribbon and apply craft glue to its back with the help of a brush. Paste the ribbon straight on the line where the two decorative papers meet. Now cut another length of ribbon approximately 10 to tie a bow. Once the bow is tied, apply some craft glue on the back of it and paste it in the middle on the ribbon that is attached to the front. Trim excess ribbon from both sides of the card and the ends of the bow.

It is always better to have the decorative paper cut in the required dimensions before staring with the invitations. Also get the ribbons cut to the desired measurements. It will save you time and make your work much easier.
Use of adhesive tape is recommended for pasting the decorative paper on the front. Always use a brush for applying the craft glue to the ribbon. It will give a tidy look to the invitation and also keep your hands clean.
