Most people choose to undertake the electrical maintenance of their home all by themselves rather than call a professional. For some, a DIY electrical maintenance can save them a lot of money. Whatever your reason is, make sure that you know how to do it properly and safely. Here are some electrical maintenance you can do in your home:

Check the electrical wiring of each of your electrical equipment. Do this at least twice a month and make sure that the equipment is unplugged before doing this.

Check the fuse of the electric box and replace broken fuses.

Check broken outlets or outlets that have no protective covers. The screws visible on outlets without protective covers may cause accidental electrocution.

Wrap open wires with about five levels of electric tape. However, make sure the wire is unplugged before you do this.
