Change Your Life
Although losing weight is the objective of a diet, it's not about dropping those pounds, feeling proud, and then ignoring your ongoing regime. You have the opportunity to change your life forever and lead a healthier existence, bearing in mind it's not just for you; think of the number of people that surround you who may need your guidance and look to you as an example. Along with your new body should come a new persona that has etched deep, lasting habits.
Which Diets Work?
Unfortunately there is no guarantee that the diet you choose will be 100% successful for you, or in fact anyone else. No weight lose routine will work if it forces the dieter from their favorite foods to those they dislike. Even if you love bread, and many people relish a midday sandwich, you can swap your white loaf for a Rye, and of course eat only a small amount at a sitting. The good things about Rye bread is it has a strong and satisfying taste, and it will last for ages in fridge without losing its freshness.
Those Carbs
A healthy natural diet must include carbohydrates and dairy products, and if you chose the starvation route that may only lead to ill health. Moderation is your joystick; your control. Constant cravings will make you bitchy and we all need something to look forward to even if it's a thin slice of cake. Compile a list of foods that you are loath to discard and then chose which of these, in small portions, you can work into your weight lose routine, thinking all the time of minimum possible.
Your Reward
Don't forget to treat yourself at the weekend if you have been a bit strict with your cut-backs. Don't order a whole pizza for that Saturday treat, just a slice, and add that to a salad with low fat mayo. If you like a Big Mac, cut it in four and store the other portions, spreading them out over the rest of the week.
Exercise
Think about doing some exercises too; perhaps 20 minutes with some small dumbbells every morning before breakfast, although nothing compares to the companionship and encouragement found in a gym. Or buy a bike and enjoy some evening rides. Remember it only takes a couple of weeks to form a habit so make sure your habits are healthy ones.
In a nutshell, most diet programs have been proven by their creator to work, the only thing to prevent them working is you. All it takes is a little dedication and focus on the program and with the addition of patience, those are the only ingredients for a healthier you. Good luck in your goals.
