Designing Memorable Wedding Invitations
As you plan your wedding, you have to take special consideration for the wedding invitations.
In a nutshell, you have to make your wedding invitation a significant marker for the union of the two people involved. They will be your first impression to your guests as to the kind of wedding you are going to have, showing them the kind of atmosphere you plan to have on your special day.
Also make them memorable, as many people are going to want to keep them for years to come. Be sure to get the details down, and have all the appropriate information on the invitation, like the location, the names, and the date of the special occasion.
Along with communicating the important information about the wedding ceremony, such as the date, time, and place, the invitation should be mistake-free in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Many brides send a reception card along with the invitation, but this is not mandatory. If there is room at the bottom of the invitation, reception information can be included there. If a poem or other sentimental saying is included on the invitation, be sure that it is relevant to the overall tone of the wedding. It should be a piece that lets guests know how much love is shared between the bride and the groom.
For the most part, invitations tend to have wedding related poems that carry a unique significance for the happy couple on the front page. Make sure the poem romanticizes the occasion and has the guests thinking of love when they read it. You can find a variety of poetry archives that will have hundreds, if not thousands of wedding poems they can use for many an occasion.
The following is a sample of how an invitation should include details that a guest will need and still communicate the love between the affianced couple.
