By playing Bowls you get more exercise than you may think because you are constantly moving around and bending up and down in the playing of the game. This activity causes you to get some weight off as you are burning more calories. You may have noticed that over the last few years the game has become international and is being played by more youngsters than ever. We even have had a World Champion in the Ladies Singles form our country and that makes us very proud. So by just playing the game of Bowls you get the exercise that is good for you, lose a lot of weight and save money by not having to pay for diets or joining a Fitness Club. Lets look closer at how this comes about. As I have already said your body loses fat by burning up the calories. This does not mean that you should just go out after playing and have a big feed but by your walking up and down the Bowls mat and stretching up and down to play you are constantly stretching your limbs and increasing the flow of blood around your body. Lots of Blowing clubs have teas and sandwiches for the players even on practice night and always on competition night.
