Can You Read? Well Then Here is a Weight Loss Secret!
Can You Read? Well Then Here is a Weight Loss Secret!
I do know that most of us can read and if you are reading this than you obviously can. But how come we usually don't read all important stuff all around us? Event if it could save us from heart attacks and overweight bodies?
Pssst... can I tell you a secret? Did you know that food has labels? Oh you did? Then let me ask you this, why do you ignore them? Is it perhaps because even though you can read, you can't read labels? Yeah, I didn't think so. I know, it's just boring and reading them sucks! I feel exactly the same way.
But the fact it, you simply have to read them if you want to have success losing weight. There is simply no way avoiding this. Would you drive your car blindfolded? Didn't think so.. and eating without reading labels is just like that. You have no idea what dangers might be in your not to distant future because, let's be frank, you have NO idea what you are eating!
Sure, you can assume but that's just the same as guessing, inaccurate and not very safe. You need to read the labels, double check the ingredients list, learn about the serving sizes and be honest to yourself. No one will do this for you. You simply have to rely on your self for this, just remind yourself how badly you want to lose weight. And not only that, remind yourself that you want to live and not get a heart attack at a young age.
Like I said before, it's boring but it's not complicated. All it requires is some effort on your behalf. To make it easier, compare it with jogging. You can run and jog much, much more.. or read labels. The choice is yours. Remember that on average your meals should be no bigger than 300-500 calories, depending on if you are female or male. So think about that when you check the labels. For best results on your weight loss you should also try to maintain a good balance between fat (20%), carbs (50%) and proteins (30%). This means that in every 100 calories of food you eat there should be approx. 12.5 gr. of carbs, 7.5 gr. of protein and only 2.2 gr. of fat.
Don't let the food industry trick you with "false" labels. They might say 95% fat free when there are 5 grams of fat in 100 grams of the food, but that's bad information. You see, you need to think calories not grams. Lets say that in these 100 grams there are 180 calories. I know that 1 gram of fat contains 9 calories, so the 5 grams of fat is actually 45 calories and that's actually 25% of the 180 calories. So if the label would be correct, it would say only 75% fat free. And in case you are wondering, carbs and proteins both have 4 calories pr. 1 gram.
