Some caravan parks allow owners to keep their caravans on site only for a set number of years from new. Ask how long the period is, even if you're buying a new one. Should you decide to purchase a pre-owned static caravan, ask how many more years it is allowed to remain in that park.
Having satisfied yourself with those points, the next step is to find out what is the maximum occupancy allowed, in other words how long you may live in the unit in any one year. Different parks have differing rules, so it is important to find out what these are before making the purchase.
As well as owning a luxury caravan on a beautiful park, most owners want to have it situated on the best possible plot. Never take it for granted that your caravan will be allowed to remain permanently on a particular plot. Find out how long it will be allowed to remain there.
