Summer is approaching fast, summer heat means beaches
, white sand, and fun and party shared by family and friend. In Philippines, a synonym for best beach destination is Boracay Island. Boracay is an Island located 315 away South of Manila. It is belong to Western Visayas Group or commonly known as Region VI, the island is more than 10 kilometer long with a total are of 10.32 square kilometer.
Boracay are divided into two main Beaches, namely White Beach and Bulabog Beach. White Beach is the main central beach destination, the length is about 4 kilometer long with a series of hotel, lodges, bar and restaurant and other tourism related establishment. The business establishment is separated by footpath also known as Beachfront path to the beach itself. Bulabog Beach, just across the Island of white beach is known as the 2nd popular beach destination in Boracay, Boracay is best known for swimming, kite boarding, and windsurfing.
Transportation Going to Boracay
There is various method of transportation when visiting Boracay, the most popular among them is by airplane. There are two flight option to choose, the flight is from Manila Domestic Airport to Kalibo or Caticlan, air travel is approximately 1 hour and from Kalibo to Caticlan land travel by bus or for hire mini-van usually takes between 1 - 2 hour, once you reach Caticlan the travel usually took 20 minutes to reach Boracay Island Proper riding a Banca. There are three port of entry stations on White Beach Island which is located in west coast of the Island. By sea is the second popular transportation going to Boracay is by ferry, travel time usually take an overnight for ferry ride, it is more affordable compare with air transportation, the ferry depart at Manila North Harbor to Dumaguit and from Dumaguit you will have to travel for yourself going to Caticlan via air-conditioned bus or by less expensive route by riding Public Utility Jeepney.
The last and most unpopular of transportation when visiting Boracay is by land , the route is combination of Bus and Ferry in one fee, from Cubao or Pasay the bus travel through Strong Republic Nautical Highway going to Batangas Port, travel from Pasay to Batangas usually takes 2 hour, RORO ferries take buses to cross for Calapan Port on Mindoro and buses transverse the island and again across Roxas Port to Caticlan by ferries. The travel usually takes an 11 hour journey to reach Caticlan proper.
