Art of Living launches its global redesigned website
Brings humanitarian initiatives in 151 countries under one roof
Bangalore, (India), September 5: Bringing its vast array of humanitarian initiatives across 151 countries under one roof, the Art of Living, today, launched its global redesigned website
www.artofliving.org . The aim of the website is to use technology as a platform to reach out to people, encourage greater participation in social transformation, and globalize spirituality and human values.
Mr. Prakash Padukone, Indian Badminton legend, and Mr. Narendra Bhandari, Director Asia Pacific, Software & Services Group Intel Technology India, launched the website.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bhandari said: "We've joked many times that instead of taking people to the centers of worship, take the centers of worship to where the people are - into their homes, the internet, their mobiles and chances are that they will find a few moments when they don't worry about things so much. I think it is apt that the fundamental basic values taught by Art of Living has been brought closer by using the most utilized medium today."
The event had a special message from Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder, Art of Living. "Technology has made the world a global village," he said, adding, "and it is spirituality that makes this village a family. With the launch of the new website we bring technology and spirituality together. As a result, the globe has become a village and the whole village has become a family. Let us spread knowledge and the message of peace and love to every nook and corner of the world so that every human being enjoys inner freedom, wisdom and prosperity. Let no one be stressed, violent or unhappy. Let the website serve the purpose of bringing knowledge and happiness to the entire planet."
The new site will collaborate all the existing Art of Living sites under a single umbrella ">www.artofliving.org
Through collaboration, there will be greater opportunities to unite humanitarian activities in different countries. The peace campaigns in conflict-ridden countries will strengthen further with support from 151 countries. Disaster relief efforts will be combined through online networks.
The Art of Living inspires action for peace and drives numerous service initiatives in the areas of disaster relief, trauma care, rural development, youth leadership, education, women empowerment and environmental care, worldwide. Seeking freedom from stress and the search for inner peace and happiness is natural to every human being. The Art of Living course offers a practical solution for this.
The Art of Living website was first launched in 1996. The last 14 years have seen several revisions of the website, with a vision of spreading the message of peace, love and service to people across the globe.
