At the party, you are to share a dance with your daughter. Nothing is more touching than this moment, for the father of the bride. This is a bittersweet moment and there will be scarcely a dry pair of eyes among the onlookers while you share this dance with your beloved daughter.

Lastly, you are to make "the speech"! I put that in quotes because this is the part where most fathers of brides' knees turn to jelly! It's imperative that you strike the right chord and make a stirring speech to befit the occasion.

And that brings us to the end of the list of duties of the father of the bride! Whew! That was a long list wasn't it? But it's not really so hard to do these things when you picture your daughter smiling with happiness on her wedding day is it?
