You will need to have the extensions removed after about three weeks, however, with this method because as the glue begins to lose its strength, your lovely new extensions could be in danger of falling out, just when you are at an event and want to look your dazzling best.
You could also opt for the fusion method whereby hair extensions are attached to individual strands of your own hair. The extensions can also be treated with keratin adhesive and by using a heat lamp this is melted to attach the extension to your hair. The great advantage here is that you can wash your hair regularly. Flip-in extensions can be used for a one off temporary effect.
Hair extensions can be made from synthetic or human hair, the latter having a more authentic look with less risk of damage.
