A Plane Ticket And A Wedding
If you do happen to need to attend a wedding that requires you to buy a plane ticket
, the bride and groom are always appreciative of your financial effort to be there for their special day. But there are a few things you have to prepare for when you decide to go out of the country for a wedding between your two friends. A wedding is a great excuse to go on vacation and wherever your friends are going to have their wedding, you can almost guarantee that you can make a vacation out of it as well. I am sure that your friends wont mind if you stay a few extra days in Hawaii to relax without the kids or simply to lie by the beach and forget about all the stresses of your normal life.
After getting all the personalized wedding gifts and worrying about the honeymoon, the bride and groom probably will not even know that you guys are missing from their entourage. Since a plane ticket just to attend a wedding, especially out of the country, is fairly expensive, you want to take advantage of such an opportunity and seriously consider getting your moneys worth. Plan a vacation before you even go out there and book a couple nights at the hotel of your choice. The bride and groom shouldnt be having all the fun during this trip. And since they will be worrying about everything from the invitations to the wedding cake knives, Im sure they would like a few less people to worry about.
On the other hand, if you are planning a wedding where your friends dont actually live, it might be a prudent idea to plan a few things for your guests to do if you are having your wedding in Hawaii or anywhere romantic. After the bridal party gifts are all opened, it could be a great idea to plan a few outings for just the girls or just the guys to loosen up the atmosphere of a tense wedding. When people are spending hundreds of dollars just to attend your special day, they become a little bit bitter if you dont have some special events planned that allow them to have a little fun too. Im not saying that you have to plan your wedding around these events, but it shows a little consideration for your friends and family who flew all the way out just to attend your wedding.
