If we consume a high fat low protein diet our bodies are going to lack the fuel it needs to burn the fat off. You should also realize that as while you are building muscle with an exercise program, you may be shedding inches off your body and not show a lot of progress on the scale. Think of this as weight management. It is very important that you keep this fact in mind and measure your progress by some other means or you will achieve misleading results and become discouraged. Most people measure their weight loss progress in pounds and get frustrated and may give up even though they are actually making progress. Measure you progress by how you look in the mirror, the fit of your tight pants, and your waistline. It is absolutely necessary to incorporate fitness and diet into your weight loss plan. Doing this helps your body burn off any extra calories you may have consumed during the day and burns fat to make up the difference between what you take in and what your body needs. Having an exercise or fitness routine also means that if you have a small cheat during the day, you can make up for it by burning a few more calories than normal during your exercise routine. This shouldnt happen very often, but we are all human and an occasional cheat isnt going to make or break your weight loss plan. Dieting and exercise go together in weight loss and fitness. While you can do one or the other and drop some pounds, things seem to work so much better if you do both. Diet and exercise together can create fantastic weight loss results for those who take them both seriously. The thing you have to remember is that neither works as well alone and neither will work unless you are willing to do the work. You must make this a priority in your life in order to achieve the best possible results. There are many diet plans available and all of them work. The common factor is limiting the calories eaten.
