I stopped at the train station. In my whole life, I had never seen so many people. The train station was a sea of people. Each person was a water drop of the sea. Some came to the station to stay in the city and some came to the station to leave. They were all travellers. I saw their faces, tired and hurried. But they were sure about their coming journey. How much I was jealous of them! Travellers were happy people in my eyes for they mastered their lives and planed their future. They belonged to themselves. They had the freedom that I was yearning for. I found a seat and sat down. On my left, a man covered three seats and slept on them. He had a braided bag under the seats. In it I guessed it must be his quilt. I once saw men liked him in a builing site. I was in my papa's car and through the window I saw fifteen to twenty men were sitting on the ground and having their meals with different colors of canteens. Papa told me that these people came from the countryside and they came to the city to make money. "They are so poor," I had a murmur. "They are too dirty," my sister said, "papa, let's leave here quickly.I hate to see dirty men." Mama patted her head and urged papa to drive faster. Mama didn't have a glance at me and she just skimmed over the fashion magazine with my sister. They talked which party dress was beautiful and what they would buy when they went shopping next time. They would never think about me when they talk about these things for I couldn't dress on any party dresses. Even though papa was rich enough to buy me any party dress that I liked, I was not able to dress them. How could a dwarf dressed on an adult's party dress? That only made me looked stupid and weird. I escaped from home. It had been six hours since I left home. I had no idea whether mama would look for me or not. She might be very happy about my escaping for she got rid of me at last. She was ashamed of me. As a beautiful woman, she was confident in herself. But my birth was a shock to her. At nine, I was no taller than a five-year-old child. She and papa took me to the hospital and the doctor told them that I was a dwarf child which meant that I would not grow taller than a mediore child.
