A Beautifully Lit Atmosphere
Lights, camera, action, the curtain goes up and the play begins
. Every stage crew knows that beautiful lighting sets the mood for the play. Soft lighting for romantic or intimate scenes, harsh sometimes even glaring lighting for war and violence, with streaks of red and yellows. Lightening is essential to creating a mood or a feeling. The same holds true for events. Are you trying to gather the people to an intimate setting or are is it a business venture with networking at heart? Softer lightening for intimate dining and well lite rooms for social gatherings of friends. An LED curtain adds fun ambiance to any occasion.
Our daughter recently got married. The reception center where the reception was held is actually a gathering room of a country club. The views are spectacular with the greens of the golf course laid before the plate, glass windows. Fountains and fairways follow the greens. It was a beautiful winter evening, instead of luscious greens we had snow, but all was well as the interior was laid out and lite so beautifully that the occasion felt warm, inviting, intimate and lovely. We stressed about lightening and finally ended up with a clear LED curtain hanging from the center of the room.
We were thrilled by the added glow, not too showy and distracting, just elegant and beautiful. We also had candles in tall vases scattered around the room. The evening though white on the outside was warm and inviting inside. We also had a sculpted ice structure ordered with their engagement pictures and calla lilies frozen inside a three foot tall block of ice. Shining on the ice were green LED lights that softly rotated to clear and white. The ice sculpture was a hit, especially with the younger crowd. The only problem was the sheer weight of it at almost 500 pounds.
They overestimated the amount of water used and ended up with it being almost twice as heavy as originally ordered. Luckily the glass table it was on held and no harm was done. It wasn't easy getting it outside when it was wet and slippery from being inside for hours!
All events call for mood enhancement and just the right lightening. With LED curtains, tiny white christmas lights or beautiful lit candles, make sure the lightening represents the mood you are trying to elicit for the occasion.
