You need to know that there are payed and free services services to promote products. If you dont have much money you should start with the free ones. Anyway, below i will show you the most effective free and paid services. Choose the ones you are more comfortable with.

Writing Articles - This is exactly what i am doing now. All you have to do is write about topics related to your product and then put the link to your product at the bottom of the article. Write helpful and useful articles, and if people want to know more about what you are saying, they might click on the link and buy the product. If you consider writing articles then you can post in many article directories. But remember, one of these directories MUST be Ezine Articles. They are the best.
* Classified Ads - You can also promote your product through classified ads. There hundreds of classified directories, but USFreeads is the best one.
* Forums - Almost every forum allows you to have a signature. Look for forums related to your product ( lets suppose you have a weigh loss product; write on google weigh loss forums, and you will find good forums ( this is applied for any product). On the signature talk about your product and put the link for it. Every time you make a helpful post, people will see the product you are promoting and you might get some sales.
* Yahoo Answers - You should start by making about 10 none sale posts. After that, your 11th post could be a sales post. Look for anyone asking something related to your product. once you find, prepare a great answer and put the link to your product. Even if that person does not buy, in the future if someone is looking for an answer for the same question, they will see your answer and might buy your product.

* P.P.C. Advertising - Pay Per Click advertising are services that you can use to get to know your product to thousands of people every day. Google Adwords and AdBrite are the best on this kind of advertisement. How does this works? You create ads that will show up on websites and/or google search engine. This can be a very expensive service, so dont use it if you dont have much money.
* Classified Ads - USFreeads allows you to advertise for free, but also has the option to show your add on the google search engine random times of day. You have to pay a small fee but it is worth.
* Solo Emails - Solo email means that you sent an email to thousands of people. There are many companies that that allow you to do this, but their services are sometimes expensive.
* Distribute Articles - Some article directories will allow you to distribute your articles to hundreds of other article directories. This can save you time and effort and since your articles will be on more websites, also increase the chance of sales.

You can look for information on forums or article directories. If you got the money, then following a program will boost your performance and you will get faster results.
5. Determination & Patience & Hard Work
You wont get rich overnight. You wont make $10k on your first week. When i started, i only made money on the 3rd week. You can start making money earlier or later. But DONT GIVE UP, it works. Million of people are already doing it and you can do it too.
