10 Ways To Lose More Weight

1. If you are unable to run, try walking. 15 minutes of fast-paced walking a day is enough to keep most people in decent shape.



2. Theoretically, any distance is in walking distance if you have the time, so consider walking to places that you would normally drive, such as the convenience store or any place around the corner. It may take you longer, but you will reap long term health benefits.

3. There's not really any research to support this, but people have said that drinking black coffee before a workout can help you burn more fat. This might be due to the caffeine causing you to burn more fat, but that's only a guess. Either way, it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

4. However, make sure you don't drink too much coffee. If you drink too much, your body might actually get used to the caffeine and not have any fat-burning effect. Also, being addicted to caffeine is not a good habit to develop either.

5. In addition to cell phones, remote controls have made life too easy. Sure, they're great devices, but they'll turn you into a couch potato.

Remote controls are giving us a lazy attitude about life. They are one of the reasons why TV is so popular these days, as they only use their finger to surf through hundreds of channels. Nothing is wrong with TV in itself, but if the remote control causes us to sit there lazily, there is a problem. Forget the remote and get up every time you want to change the channel. This goes for any other device that has a remote control for it (DVD players, for example). Get rid of any device that simply makes us lazier and helps us grow fatter.

6. Do simple chores by yourself. Often we leave these tasks for other people to do because we are tired from work or simply lazy. However, these chores are really no big deal and we should not be asking our kids or anyone else to do them. We are more than capable of fetching something or taking something out. It's wonderful that people have trained their pets to fetch them something, but it is also a sign that the pet is getting the exercise that the owner should be having. Don't neglect daily chores for someone else, especially if you get some walking or exercise out of it.

7. Here's a pop quiz. Escalators help us to:

As you can see, the correct answer is all of the above. Next time you are on an escalator, move along the escalator. Don't stand, or better even, take the stairs for a short exercise.

8. When you are watching television, do some kind of activity when there is a commercial. The commercial is clearly not as beneficial as getting up to burn some calories. Rather than surfing through other channels, try going for a short walk, some kind of calisthenics, or any other short exercise.

9. Wriggle your toes and your fingers whenever you can. This is a small stress reliever for your joints that can also tell you how hard you've been working. If they're sore, there's a good chance your body is too.

10. Put your favorite music on and dance to it. Simply have fun and go wild! Shut the door to your room, turn on your sound system to the highest volume without being obnoxious and then do the craziest dance. Jump on your bed, roll on the floor, or do whatever dance move you know.
