23 million French bought a product or service online in the third quarter of 2009 - this represents about 7 out of 10 Internet users.

In May 2009, Electronics (52%) and Travel/Tourism (51%) were the most popular product categories in the French E-Commerce market.

It is estimated that there will be 41 million French Internet users in 2013, up from 37 million in 2009.

PriceMinister was the main French Internet retailer by active reach (29%) in Q2 2009, followed by 3 Suisses (24% active reach).

La Redoute is the leading retail clothing site in France, with 6.8 million unique visitors in July 2009.
