subject: Las Vegas Convention Options [print this page]

Each year millions of business travelers come to Las Vegas, Nevada. Conventions are the biggest draw for these visitors. The hospitality industry, including hotels and casinos, have benefitted dramatically from the Las Vegas convention industry. Las Vegas is now one of the premier convention cities in the entire world. However, with so many conventions and choices for host locations, the question is where does one hold a convention in Las Vegas?

The Las Vegas convention Center is the largest and most well known space in the city. It is operated by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. They manage the enormous 3.2 million square feet of space at the convention facility. Approximately two million square feet of that is devoted strictly to exhibit space. As a result, some of the largest conventions in the world call Las Vegas home. You will find CONEXPO, SEMA and CES at the Las Vegas Convention Center each year.

Adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center is the Las Vegas Hilton. As the closest major hotel, it is just a quick walk from the Convention Center. In addition, it has its own convention center complete with meeting and exhibit space. The hotel itself is well equipped, but decidedly dated. Nonetheless, it is complete with all of the amenities needed for a business traveler or conventioneer.

The Venetian hotel is another popular Las Vegas choice for conventions and business meetings. Often very large conventions will utilize the Sands Expo Center and Venetian Congress facility for additional exhibit space. It is home to 1.8 million square feet of combined event and meeting space. The adjoining hotels are very well suited for business travelers as a result. Fantastic dining, nightlife and other options abound.

Las Vegas is the perfect convention destination. With convenient transportation options, ample lodging and first class exhibit space, Sin City is the preferred convention space for most marquee conventions.
