(The shreds the machine produces measure 5/32" x 1 3/8".) The 2260X can handle paper clips and staples, plus it can destroy credit cards and DVD's/CD's. There's a separate slot for the discs and the throat that the paper is fed into measures 9.25 inches so it's great to shredding both letter- and legal-sized paper.
The shredder has two waste chambers to keep the paper and media waste separate to allow for easy recycling. The paper bin has a 13-gallon capacity so you won't have to empty it very often, which will save you time. The machine also has a continuous duty motor so you can shred non-stop without needing to worry about the motor overheating or going into a thermal protection mode. Many other comparable shredders do not offer continuous duty motors and require a break after a certain number of minutes shredding.

Overall, this is a good paper shredder that offers a decent amount of security. People who need a continuous-duty, cross-cut paper shredder should definitely give the 2260X a look.
