subject: Top 3 Things To Remember When Planning Your Wedding Day [print this page]

The three major things that top the priority list for any wedding planning are; the date on which the wedding ceremony will take place, the place where the wedding ceremony will take place and the number of people who will be invited for the wedding celebrations. Besides these main three things there are many other things that also need to be taken care of by the bride and groom for their wedding ceremony to be a success.

You need to make sure that the venue that you choose is available on the wedding date that you have planned. Don't set a date for the wedding unless you find the appropriate venue where you intend to hold the wedding ceremony, otherwise you will end up selecting a wrong venue for this beautiful occasion which comes once in a life time.

Once you have made the necessary bookings, you and your spouse-to-be must sit down and draw up your list of people to invite. You may be planning a small or a large wedding. If it is a small wedding then you must plan the guest list very carefully. Make sure that the immediate family members are invited. This is very important as you do not want anyone to get upset on your wedding.

2. Taking official leave from your work/job Being caught up in the frenzy of your wedding can make you do things which can affect your job or your personal life in a crazy way. When you decide on the wedding date with your fianc, just make sure to inform your boss about it. This is a highly important thing to remember when planning your wedding day because you have to be free for your own big day. There can be critical office meetings, closing down periods, auditing, or you might be required to travel on those dates for business purpose.

When you inform your boss about your wedding plans, he will surely schedule your office work, meetings, business tours etc. accordingly. It's important to balance your private life and your work-commitments.

Besides the catering and seating arrangements you also need to take care of the musical set up for the event. You can plan to have a band perform or you could just set up a good sound system to keep the wedding ceremony alive.

All the arrangements that you are doing for the wedding ceremony need to be double checked so that there is nothing missing. Don't forget the invitation cards, get these cards printed at least a month before the wedding ceremony and distribute them to all the guests that are being invited.

Well-planned and nice weddings remain etched on the minds of the people, especially if they had a good time and enjoyed the wedding. Make sure that all the bills have been paid before you get married and leave for your honeymoon.
