subject: Pregnancy Timeline - An Alternative View [print this page] I want to talk about my girlfriend's pregnancy timeline from a male's perspective. Three month's ago my girlfriend found out that she was pregnant. This was really great news for us. It was planned but we hadn't been trying very long.
Early on in the pregnancy timeline it is quite easy. I mean very early on. Soon though your partner will be showing pregnancy symptoms which will have an impact on you and your relationship. I hope that by forewarning you about them that you should be able to cope with it better.
OK, so what are some of the symptoms that she is showing? The most common that women have on the pregnancy timeline is morning sickness. Morning sickness is not something that is restricted to the mornings and can happen throughout the day. My girlfriend wasn't actually sick but was retching a lot. Having something to eat helped her.
My girlfriend had a massive drop in energy levels. She started to feel tired all of the time. This had an effect on her routine meaning that she would get up later each day. Although that tiredness is a problem it is still important that your partner tries to maintain their normal daily routine for as long as she can.
It is not just in the mornings that this happens. After work it seems that she just lies on the sofa all evening! This will change as you go further along the pregnancy timeline but you may have to start shifting some activities like housework.
Your partner will react differently to mine and here are some other symptoms that they might have. She will likely to suffer from head and backaches, have mood swings, possible constipation and have cravings for certain types of foods.
