subject: When It Comes To Weight Loss And Diets [print this page]

When it comes to weight loss and diets there are many, many options. They can be divided up into several categories. There are surgical options. There are straight up diets that are focused solely on what is being eaten. Then there are those weight loss diet methods that are focused on medical issues. Then there are those that are focused on the individual's activity level.

Surgical options have definitely enjoyed their time in the sun. Some weight loss surgical options that are frequently accessed are: liposuction, stomach stapling and more. While surgical options often offer effective weight loss results they are invasive and come with the risk of complications.

"Straight up diets" are focused solely on what a dieter eats. Some of them will be calorie based. Some of them will be portion restrictive. Some of them will be food item restrictive (no carbs or no fat, etc.) The problem with diets based solely on this type of philosophy is that while dieters lose weight while on the diet they often gain it back immediately when the restricted foods are added back into their regular diet, when the portion sizes are increased or when the number of calories are increased.

Some diets are designed and implemented due to health issues. These diets can be in response to a family history indicating high risks for conditions/diseases that obesity or being overweight will exacerbate. At other times it is actually included in the treatment plan for an individual.

Sometimes an individual will undertake a "diet" that is focused solely increasing the activity level. They spend more time at the gym. Or they spend their time at the gym doing more intense activities. This is problematic for some because they literally don't have the time to dedicate to the gym.

The best diets are those that combine factors. And the best diets are those that address the cause of the weight problem in the first place. And the best diets are those that result in the necessary weight loss.

HCG dieting is quickly becoming known as one of the best all around methods of losing weight. Weight loss and diets are meant to go together. When someone is dieting and not experiencing the weight loss they are working hard for they will typically find themselves frustrated. Leaving a dieter frustrated at a lack of weight loss is dangerous.

Stress, frustration, depression, etc. can all lead to weight gain directly contradicting the entire goal of weight loss and diets.
