Many experts say that gradual weight loss over the long term is better than fast weight loss. If you lose too much weight too fast, you are likely to put it back on just as quickly. You need to plan your meals for this month. This can be as simple as cutting out fast food from your diet. But do not cut out the foods you enjoy altogether.
You have to give yourself a treat in order for your plan to work, if you do not, you will grow restless and you eventually go off your plan and back to the food that is not conducive to weight loss. Remember, your plan is to lose one pound this month. You can still enjoy some of the foods that are not necessarily low calorie and still make your goal as long as you reduce the days you eat that type of food.
You should have an exercise component in your plan to lose weight. Like your food plan, take it slow with your exercise plan so that you will be able to adjust to working out on a regular basis. If all you do this month is walk around the block after dinner each day, then that is a good start.
The idea is to have a weight loss plan you can stay with. You will plan this month to lose one pound. Next month you can plan to lose one pound or maybe two pounds if you feel ambitious. The main idea however, is to have a plan in place to keep you on track. You are well on your way to reaching your desired weight.
