subject: See The Beauty Of Nature [print this page]

If you're looking for outdoor adventures, the US has practically anything you could ask for. Stay overnight or just spend a few hours. It doesn't matter because there's a lot to do to fill your time. At campsites around the US you'll find that nature is completely open to you. The Great Outdoors is full of intriguing opportunities.

Backpacking and adventure magazines are a great source for ideas and reviews of common camping spots. National parks are always quite popular, especially during the summer months. From the Olympic National Park on the Pacific to the Great Smoky Mountains in the east, you can see amazing beauty from coast to coast. There are also many camping options that are less traveled but no less amazing. Throughout the year you can explore the Forty Mile Canyon in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Utah. The bright canyon walls and lush cotton-wood trees provide a beautiful backdrop for an engaging hike. When youre ready to relax you can splash through the 12-foot waterfall and its pool or several other shining watering holes.

One of the biggest attractions to mountain hiking is the view from the top, and the San Gorgonio Mountain in California offers one of the best. The mountaintop over 11,000 feet up lets you see a gorgeous sprawling view of Southern California. At such great heights you'll love the view of the land below and sky above. From the Rocky Mountains in the west to the Appalachian Mountains in the east, there's a multitude of beautiful summit views to be seen.

For unique camping adventures, don't be afraid to look for undiscovered and little-known areas. For the brave ones who care to skinny-dip, Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Michigan is a great spot. One of the best attractions there is the spectacular view that becomes visible as the lights start fading at dusk. Escaping from the city is a great chance to watch the skies, and you can do some serious stargazing at Mount Wrightson Wilderness, Arizona. Known as Old Baldy to the locals, you can see the sky in a brand knew way from this bare peak. Though it's not most known for camping, Hawaii is also a great destination for camping and adventure.

From sunbathing and swimming to eating and drinking, campsites offer some of the best entertainment around. Not only can you see and admire nature's wonders, you can also experience it. As long as you have an idea, you won't lack for opportunity as you get out and experience Mother Nature.
