Make sure that the date you are going to pick for you wedding will not clash with any important dates for your friends and family. It is a wise idea to discuss possible wedding dates with the important members of your wedding party.

What About Holidays

Avoiding wedding dates that are too close to the major holidays is a great idea. Although it is suggested that Valentine's day is the exception to the holiday rule. It is suggested that Valentine's day is a god day to get married. Although sticking to the holiday rule is a idea as many people go abroad around the holidays and it may be a bit too much to ask them to cancel or alter their travel plans.

Weekday Or Weekend

You may have to fight to get the services and venue that you want if you want your wedding to be on a weekend because many other couples will have had the same idea. Weekend weddings are so popular that you will have to book the church and reception up to a year in advance if you have your heart set on a weekend wedding. Saturdays are the hardest day to plan for during the busiest wedding months as there are many brides aiming for the same ceremony and reception sites at the same time.

Your Wedding Budget

As well as being hard to book some dates, holidays especially, will cost you more to book for you wedding. During the competitive summer months you may find that the price that vendors will charge for their services increases with the added demand for weekend weddings increases. The reverse also happens, if you get married in the fall or winter you might be able to book the venues you want as well as the services at a reduced rate.
