I'm sure you've heard the marketing on campaign that tells you, "milk does a body good" and "drink 3 glasses a day to lose weight." Unfortunately though, that's just not true. Skim milk is actually a terrible thing to drink if you're trying to lose a few pounds or even just stay healthy in general. Here's why...

To sell it at grocery stores, skim milk goes through a process called pasteurization. Now you've probably heard that this is good by some marketing guy, but it actually destroys any nutrients the milk had and makes it terrible for your body. The only thing good about it is that it gives milk a shelf life so the stores can make more money.

Another problem with store bought milk are the cows that it comes from. Many times these cows are set up in "factories" where they are constantly milked to keep the supply up. They are given growth hormones to help them produce more milk at a younger age.

This often times causes them to get sick so they are pumped full of antibiotics to cure them. And you better believe that all that stuff running through their system gets into the milk that YOU are drinking.

So your body has to deal with all this extra stuff, which can cause it to get overwhelmed and make fat loss very difficult. Our bodies were designed to run smoothly and stay at a low weight. But we sabotage ourselves every day by eating processed foods and drinking store bought milk.

Once you start eating more natural foods, you'll find it's much easier to lose weight since your body will be working efficiently instead of trying to flush out all the chemicals you're eating.
