Reducing the size of plates used: Some people feel happy if they see their plates full. So using small plates is a good option. This will help us in filling the plates yet it would not mean that we are overeating. Eating low calorie food: Low calorie foods should be taken in. Reducing fat intake is also very important for example, using low fat milk instead of full-cream milk. The amount of sugar intake should also be reduced. Drinking fresh juices without sugar is helpful.

Working out: Exercising really helps in reducing weight. It could be a walk or playing a sport or even working out at a gym. A ten minute stroll a day is good enough. This should be done at medium pace. The walk can also be extended to jogs. This can also be done on medium pace. Swimming is also a very good option. It would not bring about any injuries to the body. Sports like tennis, basket ball and so on would also be a great option. Practicing one of these an hour every day would be very beneficial.

Using weights to tone up the body: Joining a good gym is a good option too. Using weights will help in toning up the body. Working out in the gym will let us get rid of fat. It helps in improving the metabolic rate of the body. Usage of weights helps in developing muscles. Cardio-vascular exercises help in improving stamina as well as in maintaining a good figure.

Maintain a food diary: It is found that maintaining a food diary helps in reducing the amount of food one eats. The food diary is used for noting down of every bit of food one eats. It is believed that maintaining one such diary helps in reducing up to 15% of the total food intake and therefore also helps in gaining instant weight loss.
