subject: The Beauty In Recycling [print this page]

Since caveman first made his mark on his cave wall until today's more modern walls covered in graffiti, man has always endeavored to immortalize himself through the expression of art forms.

These art forms utilize many different materials to create what can only be deemed beautiful in the eyes of the beholder. Unfortunately not all are kind to the environment. Here I'd like to share some of the more friendly and unusual forms that I've come across.

One of the most important components is of course color. It is very likely the biggest difference between your home being in Home and Garden and not being able to sell it without color changes. Well, maybe that comparison is a little drastic but I think you get my point.

In the art of building homes, recycling is the key to creating an eco-friendly space for people. For those needs that can't be created with recycled products there are environmentally friendly products, such as bamboo, no lead paint, cork, hemp, etc. The power to run such a home could be solar or perhaps wind power. Water can be stored and recycled. Trash can be recycled to mulch your lawn. All it takes is a little thought and know-how and your home too can become environmentally interactive and still a thing of beauty.

Back in the pioneer days some of the log cabins were built with sod on the roofs. Today the same strategy is used to help insulate the inside from the outside elements and if you plant vegetables up there you can feed the family. So you see nature does provide and we need to learn how to take advantage of its benefits.

Near Phoenix Arizona, is an entire community built with the sole purpose of protecting the environment while creating a pleasant, working and living space for people. It is solar and wind powered, with water reservoirs and multi-purpose buildings. Its residents are college students and experts on the environment and it is through their imaginations and know-how that Arcosanti came to life.

Before I go I want to make mention of one more quite interesting form of green art that I found. That is the masterpieces created by Mark Fischer. He has used his expertise in sound equipment to translate the sounds of aquatic animals into patterns that are not only beautiful but colorfully decorative pieces of art.

Well, I hope you take away some new ideas to enhance your own part of the world and please stop by my site and check out green art by Jamie. https://www.remembermesite.com
