There are a lot of myths nowadays regarding how to lose weight. People believed and followed these myths and still found themselves in the same position obese. The truth is that the little things that we do on a daily basis can in fact help us in our journey of losing weight if only we can see them.

An adult is required to drink six-eight glasses of water a day and if you fail to do this chances are you substitute drinking with eating thinking that you need to eat because you are feeling hungry when the truth is you are just thirsty. So by filling your belly by drinking a lot of water, your brain tells you that you are not hungry and this will keep you from eating junk from time to time.

Eating small portions of food from time to time instead of binging (especially during the night) can also help you reduce weight. Most people also make the mistake of eating at the least sign of a hunger. Feeling hungry doesn't mean you have to eat right away. To avoid this, try to drink water first instead going to your refrigerator immediately to see what you can have for snack.

Also, don't settle for food low on nutrients just because nutritious foods are expensive. That's not true. There are actually affordable foods that are rich in fiber and can help you keep your weight under control. Eat more green and leafy vegetables. Eat more fruits that help lower blood cholesterol. Don't you ever forget your GLOW foods. They can save your life.

Last, exercise regularly, hit the gym or join aerobics class if you need to. Motivate yourself by waking up early in the morning to jog in the park. Do some push-ups. Or at least take your dog for a walk. Who says you need slimming pills and other weight reducing medicines to lose weight and look sexy?

You are actually doing yourself a big favor because these activities are not only fun and beneficial to your health, they are also for free! So don't hesitate to follow these steps as much as possible if you want to slim down with ease and speed.
